The novelist Doris Lessing claimed that men were the new silent victims in the sex war, "continually demeaned and insulted" by women without a whimper of protest.

You’re always wrong!

In terms of taking feminine ridicule and abuse without a whimper of protest I can testify that there is nothing a man can do. People do not recognise female aggression for what it is and noone will call them out. The assumption is that a man deserves it and a woman wouldn't be verbally aggressive unless he deserved it. If you take the bait/ show annoyance it further feeds the assumption of the bad man.
