Cyclist dies in hospital after riding into wooden bollard at Goolwa Beach

A MAN has died in hospital after sustaining injuries in a bicycle crash on the Fleurieu Peninsula about two weeks ago.
Emergency services were called to Merrett Ave, Goolwa Beach, after reports a man had crashed his bicycle into a wooden bollard about 7pm on Sunday, June 19.
He was riding on a bicycle path when he crashed into the bollard near the entrance to Merrett Ave.
He was taken to hospital, but died on Monday, June 27.
His death takes the state’s road toll to 47, compared with 48 at this time last year.
