A HONG Kong national is accused of enlisting a friend to murder her partner outside his Bacchus Marsh home.
Police say Thornbury man Daniel Josef Duhovic shot Paul Kristian Hogan at point-blank range with a shotgun on Tuesday morning at the request of Yu Tung Lo.
Yu Lo, also known as Yutung or Tracey, and her friend Daniel Duhovic are both charged with murder.
Mr Duhovic allegedly drove to Mr Hogan’s home armed with the centre-fire shotgun at 8.15am.
“The accused approached the victim who was backing out of a driveway in a vehicle.
“The accused was standing approximately four feet from the victim, Paul Hogan, when he pointed the shotgun at his head and pulled the trigger, resulting in his death,” the remand summary reads.
Yu Lo.
Ms Lo, 26, and Mr Duhovic, 32, appeared before magistrate Peter Dunn this morning.
Ms Lo, who has no fixed address, was silent during the short filing hearing at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court, as was Mr Duhovic.
The lawyer for Ms Lo said her client she found being in custody stressful and required medication to treat cold sores.
Ms Lo, who has black shoulder-length hair, wore red jumper.
The court heard it would take 15 weeks to complete forensic testing, with CCTV also to be formatted.
The pair will appear back before court on October 20.
The Herald Sun reported yesterday that Ms Lo’s colleagues said she had phoned work to report she was having problems with Mr Hogan.
The witnesses said Mr Hogan could be heard yelling, and Ms Lo had said that a friend from Thornbury was on his way to pick her up.

Police were called to the home about 8.20am.
Ms Lo, a Hong Kong national, has been living in Australia on a working holiday visa.
She has worked at properties across Victoria and in recent months moved to Bacchus Marsh to work at a farm.
Ms Lo moved in with Mr Hogan, whom she met online.
Mr Hogan worked odd jobs in the local area and had been employed as a chef, pizza delivery man and at a car service centre.
