Woman charged following 2014 fatal collision near StawellDetectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit have charged a woman this morning following a fatal collision in Stawell last year.
The 26-year-old Rupanyup woman has been charged with culpable driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, negligently causing serious injury, conduct endangering life, fail drug blood test and other traffic offences.
She has been bailed to appear before Horsham Magistrates Court today.
The two-car collision occurred on the Western Highway, around 2km from Stawell, around 1pm on 30 March, 2014.
The female passenger in one vehicle died at the scene and the male driver of that car was taken to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition.
The 26-year-old woman, who was driving the second vehicle, was taken to Stawell hospital for observation.
Two children who were passengers in that vehicle received minor injuries and were taken to Royal Children’s Hospital.
