Police swarm after teen’s home-alone Australia Day party gets out of hand

But the teenagers fled the officers, running down Victoria Rd before they could be caught.
About 60 people had gathered at a teen’s home while their parents were away.
Groups of people had poured into the property after arriving at nearby Auburn train station.
“They were blocking the road,” one man said.
“There was people on the balcony and a bottle had been thrown.
Police in divisional vans and plain-clothed officers swarmed the property.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Melissa Seach said police were called about 3.30pm.
“The kids had a party when they weren’t supposed to be, because their parents were away,” Ms Seach said.
“When police attended, they all ran.”
No one was arrested but officers were planning to phone parents.
