Toddlers Pedestrian Safety Prams Trains Public Transport CCTV Toddler in pram falls face first on to train tracks at Camberwell train station, Melbourne Herald Sun Sept. 16th 2014 Community Safety

Only takes a moment for a pram to get away.

Note the cyclist riding illegally on the platform.

The Cyclist also could've 'cleaned up' Mother and Child

just as Train was entering the platform,

or clipped Mother and Child, lost balance, and ridden off the platform.

A fatal cycling accident occurred at North Melbourne Station in 2008

after a Cyclist rode into a Pedestrian and then rode off the platform onto the tracks

just as a VLine Train was entering the Platform.

"As has been done with backyard pools, part of the solution may lie

in making it more difficult for children to be subjected to a dangerous location."

A TODDLER who fell face first in his pram onto train tracks was later found with his drunk parents walking to hospital.
Moments after quick thinking bystanders rushed to save the two-year-old from the tracks at Camberwell Railway Station, police said an intoxicated couple told officers they were taking the boy to Box Hill Hospital.
The toddler had been strapped into his pram when it rolled from the platform, about 3pm on Saturday.
CCTV shows the boy’s mother let go of the pram to pick something up.
Within seconds it had rolled over the platform’s edge, the boy dropping face-first onto the tracks, his mother immediately jumping after him.
Witnesses rushed to her aid, pulling the child to safety before a train rolled into the station.
David Phillips, who helped in the rescue, told Nine News the mother was distressed and onlookers were concerned.
“The baby was crying so that was a good thing because if the kid wasn’t crying I would have been more concerned,” he said..
Miraculously, the boy only suffered minor facial injuries and was taken to Box Hill Hospital in a stable condition.
A police divisional van was called to the station soon after and officers said they found the boy on the street with a couple who were alcohol affected.
