A nine-month-old boy has died after being hit by a forklift driven by his father at the weekend.
The boy died at the Royal Children's Hospital on Thursday morning, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
The infant's family had maintained a bedside vigil at the hospital since Sunday.
The accident occurred about 6.20pm on Saturday at the Blackley Automotive business on the Bellarine Highway in the Geelong, where the father was an employee.
