Trains V Line Public Transport Sexual Assault 17 y.o Girl. Man 40's Victoria Police News June 26th 2014 Community Safety


It’s believed a 17-year-old girl was approached by a man in his 40s on a platform at the Castlemaine train station on 20 June. 

The man continued the conversation, asking her inappropriate questions and then reached across and indecently assaulted the girl. 

The train arrived in Bendigo just after midday and they both left without further interaction. 


POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION FOLLOWING INDECENT ASSAULT ON A TRAIN

Sexual offence and child abuse investigation team members are investigating an indecent assault that is alleged to have taken place on a train. 

It’s believed a 17-year-old girl was approached by a man in his 40s on a platform at the Castlemaine train station on 20 June. 

The man has engaged her in conversation and they have both boarded the Bendigo bound train at 11.34am. 

The man continued the conversation, asking her inappropriate questions and then reached across and indecently assaulted the girl. 

The train arrived in Bendigo just after midday and they both left without further interaction. 

The man is described as 175cm tall, short brown hair, solid build, a reddish face and he was wearing a brown coat.
