Trains Public Transport Death Fatality Passenger climbed onto Roof of Train Male 20's Balaclava Station, Melbourne Train-surfing Victoria Police News 27.6.14

There were 305 people killed on the Melbourne train network between 2006 and 2013, with 51 identified as unintentional.







TRAIN INCIDENT AT BALACLAVA UPDATE

A man believed to be aged in his 20s has died following an incident on a train at Balaclava Railway station just before 2.30pm. 

It’s believed the man was a passenger on an outbound train and has climbed onto the roof of the train as it has approached the station platform. 

Police are yet to formally identify the man and determine the exact cause of his death. 

The possibility of misadventure may form part of the investigation.
