Brunswick crash cyclist fighting for life


A CYCLIST is fighting for his life following an accident with a van in Brunswick this morning.
Police believe the man was travelling west on Blyth St when he collided with a van which was travelling south on Sydney Rd, about 4.20am.
The man was thrown onto the windscreen of the van, which cracked on impact.
The cyclist, an unidentified man in his 30s, was treated for a serious head injury and a cut to the side of his face.
He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
The 57-year-old driver of the van is assisting police with their investigation.
