Two men injured in Melbourne hit-and-run

March 08, 2013: Two Melbourne men have been seriously injured in a horrific hit-and-run incident overnight in which one of them was dragged almost 40m.
A Melbourne man is in a life-threatening condition after being dragged 40 metres by a car in a hit-and-run incident in which another man was also struck and injured.
The two men, aged 31 and 32, were hit by a black Holden Cruze sedan in the north-eastern suburb of Heidelberg West about 10pm (AEDT) yesterday.
The younger man was thrown onto the road after being dragged by the car and was rushed to Royal Melbourne Hospital in a critical condition.
The 32-year-old was taken to Austin Hospital but his condition is not known.
Nine News reports police are investigating an incident in the area before the hit-and-run.
Detectives are calling for the public to help identify the driver of the car.
