Road Rule 253. Bicycle riders not to cause a traffic hazard

The rider of a bicycle must not cause a traffic hazard 

by moving into the path of a driver or pedestrian.

           
            According to Bicycle Victoria's Report into Cycle Deaths in Victoria (2002)

8.8% of Fatal Cyclists Crashes were caused by Lane Change Right  (DCA 134)
